XL blood sampling system – when flexibility and volume matter
For applications where blood samples must be taken remotely from the patient or where larger aspiration volumes are required, the CODAN XL blood sampling system provides the ideal complement to the Xtrans^® system.

Typical applications include cardiothoracic surgery – where the patient is extensively covered and blood samples must be taken close to the pressure transducer – as well as complex interdisciplinary workflows in which patients pass through several departments (e.g. from anaesthesia to the intensive care unit) and repeated blood sampling is required without changing the system or disconnecting it from the patient.

The XL system offers:

• 6 ml reservoir with bacterial filter and ml scale for controlled aspiration
• Optional one or two integrated sampling ports for seamless workflows between operating theatre, anaesthesia and intensive care
• For remote and/or near-patient blood sampling
